Continually evolving and maturing as a band, new album Chuck sees Sum 41 take a slightly harder edge as the bands creative style progresses. With another bumper year of sell-out tour dates and heavy records sales behind them, the Law decides to shoot some quick-fire questions over to guitarist Dave (brownsound) Baksh.


What was the first song/riff or solo you learned to play on guitar?
"The main riff in 'Caught In A Mosh'." (Anthrax: Among The Living)

What made you want to play guitar?
"The fact that Scott Ian was wearing a Public Enemy shirt."

What is your guitar fantasy?
"That's a weird question!"

What was the first album you bought?
"The first album I bought was Master of Puppets."

What is your earliest memory of Marshall?
"I saw that all my favourite guitarists were using Marshall so I knew they were up to it."

What will you be playing when you are 60?
"I'll be playing retirement homes with an average jazz trio."

What was the first gig you went to?
"Megadeath."

Most embarrassing guitar moment?
"I was playing a show and we were so close to the crowd. This girl starts simulating giving head to the headstock of my guitar. The crowd shifts and she gets a throat full of wood . . . not embarrassing, but funny as hell."

"Both."

"Depends."
