Players and their amps
Are you proud of your Marshall? Has it been to Hell and back yet still works? Have you taken it to strange or exotic locations? If so, we want to know about it!
Email us a picture with a brief description and your pride and joy could end up featured here
Lost without Marshall!
Hi Jim,
Don't know what we all would've done without you! I've been a loyal Marshall user since I saw Thin Lizzy in '76. I've played Marshall for almost 30 years. This is my latest collection, surely to expand! Your amps are THE BEST, PERIOD. Hard rock and metal would not exist if it were not for your foresight and genius in developing the ultimate amplifier. I'm proud to be a part of the Marshall family!
Many Thanks & Regards,

Hi Jim and Co.
Just dropping a line to tell you that Marshall are the best amps in the world (Duh, everyone knows that). Here's a picture of me and my part new, part second hand Marshall Half Stack. I'm so happy with the tone out of this beast that I will never sell it. It encapsulates the sound i've always wanted. Thanx for all the hard work and dedication. Metal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, What a ride!
Here is a picture of my new beginnings. I started playing in 1962 and got my first Marshall about 1967. By 1969 or 1970 (mind is getting old) was using a pair of Marshall 200 watt heads and four 4X12 cabs. What a sound we had. I have had Marshall ever since (over 37 years) but have had to use just half stacks or combo amps. Now at only 52 years young I am putting together a Power rock / Blues band. To be sure I have the sound and the image I want, I own the entire production for the band... of course the entire back line is MARSHALL. Three Marshall VBA400 bass heads and Six VBC 4x12 cabinets for the bass and Two Marshall JCM2000 DSL100 heads with 4 1960 series 4x12 cabinets for the guitar. Hmmmm, sounds just like the good old
days.
Life is Not to be a journey to the grave, With the intention of arriving in a fine and well preserved body, But rather to skid in broadside, Thoroughly used up, Totally worn out, and Loudly Proclaiming, WOW What A Ride

No Frills Amp!
hey Jim dude and all the readers,
i've always played on an extremely old Valvestate, it really did its job good. untill the age became a problem (and the funny noises that come with age) it was a beast on a lot of stages. i played it like 8 years, and when i bought it, it was already pre-owned. you should see a picture of that one, i sprayed "cut out" lines round the woofer and packed the whole amp in red fur. man, you should see the look on faces when i get out my gear on shows. anyways, i'm gonna get to the point now. here's me and my brand new shiny DSL100SL, the Limited Silver Edition. i love it first of all because of the sound, second because of the easy layout, no frills and such, just straight to the point, and third because of the design. i would like to know how many of these were really made, not that it matters a whole lot. the sound has balls, that's all i asked for in a new amp.
this is the shit! Take Hair dudes

Don't Underestimate!
Hi Guys,
This is the set-up I've been gigging with (Problem free) for around five years. A valvestate 8280 and a 1936 ext cab. Before that I used a valvestate 8240 (Please dont underestimate these amps). I've always gone for the practicality of a combo but i've given in to the urge for pure valve sound and I'm about to aquire a TSL100, which will be driving two 1936's (Still relatively practical right)?
Thanks to Phil Wells of Marshall for your advice and a Merry forthcoming xmas to all of you fellow Marshall users out there!

Something a bit different . . .
Hi!
Here is a strange amp from a friend of mine. ( The guitar is a false Gibson!
In fact, a corean low budget guitar that i've changed in a Kafka model!
Kafka is my artist name). But the Marshall amp is a real one. It's a
transistors powered one named Lead 30 ( something like that). On the back,
near the power cable out is inscripted: Made in England. Serial number 06798
( or D6798. The 6 are maybe 8..).
Kafka.
Puppy Love
First of all please excuse "Baron" my dog ... but even he plays a Marshall....dont ask.
Anyways, i collect marshall amps of all sizes this "pictured" is the best sound for a Hard rock guitar sound i have EVER heard. Ya ya yaaa its a small looking setup but i am always asked "WTF" are you doing to get that guitar sound ??? ...However they are never content when i tell them i use no pedals just some smaller Marshall amps i can carry home after the gig.The bottom amp is [master lead 30] the top using an onboard short delay is an MG 15..This lil stack with my 79 les paul sounds like the best sex you can have....hmm... well... i mean i just love all my Marshall amps.

Return to Marshall
Here's a picture of my Marshall DSL100, 1960B (with G12-75's), and MG15CDR. The only pedals between me and my Marshalls are a Boss TU-2 and NS-2. That's all I need for great tone! I've owned dozens of heads and cabs, but in the end, I came back to Marshall!

Multi-Talented
This is my first but not my last Marshall amp. I hope to accquire the AD100 Acoustic amp soon. This amp does it all for me. I can run a keyboard, acoustic guitar, vocals, and special effects through it. It has ample power!

Mode Four Mad
My other guitarist wanted me to use "Stomp box Distortion" because he did not think you get good distortion direct from an amp. I told him to wait and see and then brought in the Mode Four. Now he wants one too and intends to throw out all his old shit. I think it's a good idea, his sound sucked!
