Lost for Words

Lost for Words

Hi I'm an Italian guy, I play lead guitar in two band: with one, we play blues and rock 'n roll, in the other, we play AC DC covers. For my amplificatioin, I use only Marshall: only the best...
I've got, a Marshall 9000 series (tube preamp), a Marshall 8008 (power amp) a 1936 cab, and the new entry: the Marshall 1987x 50 watt re-issue.
My favourite guitar is an old Amrican Kramer: a pacer custom 2.
I have no word to describe the sound I get from my baby...

Any Set Up You Like

Any Set Up You Like

Hi Marshall folks,

I'm a drummer, so I usually see the backs of your great products, but I can
hear the great sounds no matter how we set up. As you can see in the pictures
we have a pair of your DSL100/1960A/1960B stacks. They are rock solid reliable,
and do the job no matter what we ask of them. Our guitarists feel they can get
any sound they want. They work well in clubs, large auditoriums, outdoors, you
name it.

Thanks!

Tom

I am (finally) a very proud owner of the best amp in the world -- a Marshall! A few months ago I got my dream guitar, a gold top Les Paul (at none other than the Gibson Showcase in Nashville), and yesterday got my Marshall, an AVT150 head with a 1960a cabinet. I felt like I needed a cigarette after playing the two together for the first time. The sound is amazing, especially from the OD1 channel. It's got the perfect amount of grit.

Long Live Gibson! Long Live Marshall!

The Bestest Christmas Gift Ever!

Dear Marshall,
I am only 11 years old and have been using a Marshall MG10CD and a MS-2 for the past year, but have really been wanting a full Marshall half stack. Well, this Christmas, my dad bought me my dream gear, a DSL50 with a 1960AV cab along with a Charvel EVH guitar. The amp sounds awesome with the guitar and I feel like I am a rock star! This will definitely not be my last Marshall amp, though my dad said I would have to buy my next one myself. Rock on!

My band leader may be the Sheriff, but I’m the Deputy and I practice hard core Marshall Law!

Ain’t nothing louder, crunchier and more kick ass than my JCM800!

Two Heads Are Better Than One

Two Heads Are Better Than One

I’ve been playing ONLY Marshall amps for 28 years straight.
My current live rig has a 90’s Dual-Reverb head & DSL 50 head,
both driving two 1960 cabinets each. There is NO BETTER sound ON EARTH.

Thank you Jim.

First, Only and Ultimate

First, Only and Ultimate

Hello,

I've been playing Marshalls for the last 10 years, and hope to continue
playing them until my arms fall off. I've been fortunate to hook up with
4 original 100W heads that are un-modded and have tone for days thru my
1960A/B stack. From top, my '79 JMP 1959, my '82 JCM800 2203, my '83 JCM800
2203, and my '87 JCM800 2210.

Marshall: the first, the only, the ultimate!

Cheers.

Standing Tall

Standing Tall

Dear Marshall Team:

Attached, please find one of your more “rare” amps. Everybody knows about your guitar series, but how about your John Entwistle (The Who’s bass player) bass amp (Model 2001)? 375 Watts…built-in valve compressor…dual channels…8 – 6550 output tubes! I’ve had it for over 15 years, it still works, and unlike today’s 4 x 12” + tweeter speakers, I believe physics still dictates that you need large diameter speakers to mover large amounts of air. This rig consists of a folded horn with an 18” Cerwin-Vega woofer, as the original Goodmans 18” got blown up many moons ago, plus a JCM 800 2 x 15” cabinet (Sidewinder 250W 15’s). Stacked, it stands over 9 feet tall! Still the best rock-and-roll amp in the world. Send my regards to Mr. Jim Marshall for all his craziness over the years.

Very best regards,

Tomasz Konofalski

Grant Clayton.

Go Ahead and Turn It Up

Go Ahead and Turn It Up

I've been playing guitar for almost 5 years and have had my Marshall TSL 100 stack for 4 years. I finally started a band in May 2006 and the highlight of me and my baby (my Marshall TSL) was playing our first big gig last Friday night and when the sound guy said to go ahead and "TURN IT UP"!!! YES!!! I also own a Super100JH, a TSL122, a 1936 cabinet, and a Microstack. Thank you Jim !!!

Love The Tone

Love The Tone

Hi,
I love Marshall amps and wouldn't think of playing through anything else. No other amp will give me the tone I like.
Here is a '74 JMP 1987, '76 JMP 2187 combo, and a '79 JMP 1986 Bass. Marshall cabs, of course.
I play Gibson Les Pauls and go for Jimmy Page live tone.
Thanks,

This is my mates amp that he lent me until i get my new one (which is hopefully going to be an avt150hx and a avt412a cab) Anyway this amp here is a Marshall Master Lead from 1979.It's been in a freezing cold and wet garage for 8 years and it still works!!! it's true what they say about marshalls! they're indestructable! This amp is also a loud mother F**ker. It has 3 inputs Normal, Mix and bright bright is my favourite as it makes clean sounds sound amazing!! and as well as it's clean sounds sounding amazing the gain is great! it has so much gain for an old amp. Marshall are the best!!
