Players and their amps
Are you proud of your Marshall? Has it been to Hell and back yet still works? Have you taken it to strange or exotic locations? If so, we want to know about it!
Email us a picture with a brief description and your pride and joy could end up featured here
Maturing With Age
Hello,
Here is my pride and joy. You could say it is part of the family. The head is a 1973 PTP MKII Super Lead 100W. The cabinet is a 1973 Model 1982A Type Bass/Lead 120W with its original Celestion G12H 30W speakers. These were bought new together by the original owner and I bought them from him in 1977. It has seen little gig use and mostly in-house practice and recording so it is just about perfect and nothing has been changed or replaced except for the addition of a master volume mod back in the 70’s. I swapped out the tubes when they were new and I still have them too. It is the most amazing sounding time capsule you will ever find! It sounds even better now than it did 30 years ago and I would have thought that to be impossible.

God Bless Marshall
An MG 250 dfx, an AVT 50 head and 4x12 cab, and my dear old Lead 12; enough firepower to annoy the neighbours! God bless Marshall!

Voila!
All of my life I have been searching for a certain tone and I have failed to find it with the tons of rack gear that I have used over the years and then one day I plugged a Les Paul into a marshall and VOILA!

Girl Power
Hi, i am Rebecca Jade from Manado Indonesia. Here is my kickin' ass TSL-100 and it's 1960A cab (and my axes). That bad ass always keep me hot and burnin' loud to play my licks and my power chords. It's very reliable amp and always ready to burrrn... To play with in the front of it always become such a tremendous and transcendental xperience for me, and for sure, that keep myself being addicted to practice harder and harder everyday... I wanna be a shredders rockin' lady in the very near future! Keep oN Rockin' gaLs!!!
Cheers!
Rebecca
Classic
Hello all at Marshall!
Here comes a picture of my full stack. It has the JCM900 100W Hi Gain Dual Reverb and 1960 cabs. Sounds great with my Gibson Les Paul Standard!
Thanks from Sweden!

Fully Modded Marshall
…looks like Frankenstein – but it’s my Frankenstein. Modded w/Mercury Magnetics JTM45 output trannies, moved two of the tube sockets to the back row - allowing proper spacing for KT66’s, re-biased and installed Mullard & Brimar 12AX7/ECC83 & the same with ECC81’s throughout (pre & power) – sounds great. Using a Framptone amp splitter and running into the M4 Egnater & The JMP1 at the same time – or not - with the only channels used on the JMP1 are the two clean ones – running at full volumes within the presets. Running the JMP1 like that sounds rich and has great breakup tone. Now I need to figure out what to do about putting a “cover” over the 50/50’s top and how the heck to haul it around. Perhaps I may have to purchase a 20/20?

Golden Glory
This is a great combination. Marshall Anniversary and 71 SG. I love this amp so much that I want to get a second one and get into some bi-amp action! The lead channel is gold. Respect

Mona Lisa
Hi Jim-
I've tried everything, from digital modeling junk to boutique handwired bank-breakers. But nothing, NOTHING, cuts through a live mix like my '80 JMP 2204, lovingly named 'Mona Lisa'. I want to be buried with this amp.
Thanks a million.

Marshall Family
Hey,
I just want to thank everyone at Marshall for producing some excellent gear throughout the years. Music would suck without you! Here are a few pics of my new JVM and the rest of my Marshall family.

Purple Beast
This here is my Vintage Modern 2266, and 1960TV loaded with Greenies. It is my first and LAST tube amp. There seriosuly is no need for any other kind of amp. This amp has it all. BB King all the way to most modern stuff. Best buy I have ever made towards a guitar investment. Thanks Jim Marshall and Steve for producing such an amazing amp!

Terrific Transistor

Mache Master
Hey Jim and the guys at Marshall,
My amp hasn't been to hell and back or been played anywhere stange its just one of a kind, so i thought you might like too see it. For my A level product design project i designed and made the casing for a half stack. It's made up of a 2x12 combo and a 2x12 cab. It features a bent plywood top and personalised paper mache finish, using newspaper and scraps from NME and including my guitar hero Matt Bellamy of MUSE (in the middle, between the grills on the top cab) The amp is a AVT50X head run throught the combination of Celestions used in the 1960's cabs. Wasn't quite sure what to expect from it as its valve state but was amazed at it's realistic valvey tone and response and the impresive volume of it. Its a top quallity amp!!!
Cheers, and i hope you like the design,
