The Perfect Gift

The Perfect Gift

From the moment I picked up a Guitar there has only been one amp that I new I had to have…and now 10 years later I’ve finally got one! Even my Jack Russell, Hercules, loves the classic Marshall tone!

Thank you Jim Marshall for giving the world the DSL50 Head and the legendary 1960a Cabinet and thank you to my Girlfriend Debbie for buying me one! It’s the gift that keeps on giving!

HI

This is my tried and trusted set up fused over the last few years, JCM 900 Dual Reverb and 1976 Les Paul Custom. I have a friend who stated that the Les Paul and Marshall set-up was a cliché. I said there was a very good reason for that. The tone from the JCM 900 is sublime. It’s hard where to say where rock music would be today without that sweet textured tone to balls out distortion that Marshall provides. Very unique, and for me provides a ton of bottom end for those big riffs.

Marshall Lovers,

Here is a picture of my Jimi Rig - A pair of Limited Edition "Hendrix" Purple Marshall 100 watt plexi reissues. The one on the right is serial number 007 and is lovingly refered to as "The Bond Stack". The guitar is the very first Fender Stratocaster "Hendrix" model prototype made. (SRV owned # 2) Also pictured is a concert used Jimi Hendrix guitar pick (Mannys, between the strings) and a guitar strap signed by SRV just weeks before he left us....

Serial Killer

Serial Killer

Here's my 1987x twins and their lil brother, the Lead 12, standing in the corner. The 1965a cab holds two Vintage 10s and two G10L-35s in a criss cross pattern. The 1966b cab holds two G12H-30s. The first time I ever plugged into a Marshall was in 1973 when I was 16. My friend had a early 70s full stack and from that very first "kerrang", I felt like a serial killer holding a knife up to a co-ed's throat! It was the most intoxicating, erotic, omnipotent feeling I had ever experienced (while playing guitar. Ha!) 30+ years later, I still play Mr. Marshall's amps, which is a testament to his product and that sound. I mean, c'mon, THAT SOUND!!!

Thank you Jim

Thank you Jim

Hi, my name is George (I am on the left). I play in a punk hardcore band called For The Horror and I can say I owe my killer sound to Jim Marshall. The most important thing I owe to Jim is the bond between me and my cousin Harry (who is pictured on the right). We never really agree on much of anything but the one thing we do agree on is that Marshall amps rule! Those long jam sessions on the JCM 900 or JMP 1 preamp brought us closer together and is something priceless. Thank you Jim!

Nice Pair!

Nice Pair!

Hi to everyone at Marshall.
My name is Martin and I am in a band called Prevail, I use a JCM2000 TSL100 Head and a 1960A Cab as shown on the left, On the right is the MF350 and the MF400A, it belongs to the other guitarist of the band. The Pedal boars you can see in the picture mainly consist of b*ss pedals. Just like to say the amps sound awsome! Especially the Mode Four. Always used Marshall’s since I picked up a guitar and will continue using them.

Thanks

Martin, Anglesey

Past and Present

Past and Present

That was then (2 stacks) playing Heavy metal in the 1980's with my Marshall power. This is now (TSL 100 half stack) playing rock'n blues. Been playing Guitar for 30 years if it's not a Marshall it's not an AMP.

Marshall Does It Perfectly

Marshall Does It Perfectly

Hello Jim!

Thanks for making such amazing amps!
I've gone Marshall since I started playng the guitar. My first amp was a little VS15... and I loved it (still do).
Now I'm a proud owner of a V-8240 and I'm still amazed with this amp. With a little S*vtek 12AX7, it's sound is almost as good as my 3 or 4 times more expensive rack systems. And sometimes I'm just to lazy to turn on the rack systems, so... Marshall does it perfectly!

Keep up!

Cheers,

Gil Ribeiro. Guitarist - The Crew

Brotherly Love

Brotherly Love

To all the Marshall faithfull,

Here's a photo of the gear my brother and I use. On the left is a 15 watt G215RCD, that I use for rhythm, and on the right is the mighty MG100HDFX with 4 x 12" cab. I get an awesome blues rock tone out of the little one when it's cranked, and my brother plays lead over the top. We have yet to get the big one past 4 on the master volume................

Keep up the great work.

Awesome Purple Power

Awesome Purple Power

I bought this amp new 10 years ago. It has been under blankets to keep the dust off of it. It is mint and unused and for sale. This purple colored Jimi Hendrix Marshall stack was told to me to be as rare as 100 produced for the U.S.A.. It is Purple not blue,, it looks blue because of the bad lighting in the room. 25 watt celestions with extended bottom cabinet. MK2 done in Purple, gold and white with wicker color grills. Awesome and unused. Thanks for looking at the pictures of this rare amp.
