Handmade With Love

Handmade With Love

Hi.

I bought this amp used. Originally it was a 2103 Combo from 1978. But someone took it apart. And when I bought it, there was only the the amp without speakers in a Flightcase. I decided to built a cabinet for the amp and "change" it to a 2203. I bought all the Marshall-parts on the internet and handmade the cabinet with birch plywood. The design is slightly different than a stockmodel from that period. But People that see my amp, can't tell it is a homebuilt cabinet. The amp sounds amazing and I have really made a good deal buying that old "ugly" amp and changing it into this beauty. Thank you Marshall

Pure Tone Dialled

Pure Tone Dialled

Hi. my name is eric ledbetter and i play in a rock band called day after dinosaur. i have been playing for over 15 years, and NOTHING gives out pure tone and incredible power like MARSHALL amps! we always get gear heads coming up to us after shows asking about my amp. i unfortuneately had to sell my old marshall when my last band broke up, so when we formed this one i knew it had to be marshall! i am currently playing the Vintage Modern 2266c 50 watt combo. it is pure simple rock tone! no B.S. channels or fuss. literally plug in,dial in the tone, and rock! thanks so much!

Just Had To Have It

Just Had To Have It

Hey, This is my Marshall JVM 410H and Marshall 1960 AX 4x12" Cab. The first time I heard about the JVM, and the features that came with it, I had to try one out. After trying it, I was blown away by the power and sound of this 4 channel amp, I just had to have one. So I did. While I'm playing live, it cuts through like no other amp I've used and sounds amazing. It is easily the most versitile amp I've ever used from Marshall (and I've used alot of Marshall amps). I'd reccomend it to anyone. In the past, I've always used Marshall, and with this, I think I always will in the future.

Cheers, Sam Tranter.

The Family Tartan

The Family Tartan

Covered in my family tartan is my un-modded 100 watt JMP Mk II Master Lead. This amp has played hundreds of gigs without a hitch. I bought it new in 1980, and it still has the original tubes. They really do sound better with age.. Also picture are a Mk III 2500, a JMP-1 and 9100 power amp in the rack, and DSL-100 (Silver). Every one has a unique sound, but make no mistake, they are all Marshalls.

That Distinctive Growl

That Distinctive Growl

I have just started playing with Marshall amps and I had no clue what I was missing. Nothing can imitate the distinct growl of a Marshall and looks as good! I now own a JVM 410H and a 1960's Lead cabinet, and in my opinion this is one of the most versatile rigs ever.. Everytime I crank up my amp it just blows people away, including me! Thanks Marshall for making the greatest amps.

TubeCube

TubeCube

Hallo!

I want to introduce my self-conceptet and hand-built 1 x 12" "TubeCube" Combo incl. 19"-Rack.

The "TubeCube" has a 50 Watt 2 x EL 34 Power Amp Section (just like the JCM 800 Type 2204) an is completly handwired. It includes a Power on/off, Standby, Volume and Precence. That's all, but ist enough! The sound is performed by an Celestion vintage 30 Speaker/16 Ohm. The BIAS ca be controlled from outside.
The combo is conceptet as an all-in-one solution for sound amplification for every kind of sound-sources. A Power-Amp in a 1x 12" Combo! The dimensons are 56 cm x 47 cm 35 cm (w/h/d). In fact, that the depht is 35 cm, the combo gets a really full tone, similar in tone to the Marshall 4 x 12" TV-Cabinet, but not sooooo loud.....

With the same dimensions as the combo (only the high is resulting by the uses 19" units...) I built a 19"-rack. It includes: first a Thomann RE 1000 PS UHF True-Diversity Reciever. From there on the signal goes to the Input of a Marshall JMP 1 Midi Tube Preamp with a Rocktron 300 G Compressor in it's effect loop, from the JMP 1 with the left main signal to an Rocktron Replifex and with the right main signal to the Korg DT 1 Tuner.

I use this equipment for couple of years an it works perfectly. It's easy to mount-up and it's (becouse of the used Sound-Units...) very flexible in the sound. And: it allows me to get all the Marshall sounds we all want to have.

I like it and I never wanna miss it!

I dont know how many times I can say thanks, but this sure isnt the last time!

Wish List

Wish List

Here is my new rig. A DSL 50w head on top of my old AVT combo ( amp removed ). I,ve ditched my multi effects pedal and now use just a tube screamer. The humbuckers on my PRS drive this amp so sweetly, the cleans are warm and full, the ts pushes this to a great blues lead tone, meanwhile the drive channel goes from crunch to a sweet singing throaty roar.... lovely. I can't wait to introduce a 2 x 12 cab. Next on the list....hmmm... hand wired Marshall...

Settle For Nothing Less

Settle For Nothing Less

Since I was 15 I knew I wanted to be a guitar player, I listened to many players and I was already interested in what Sound I was going for and I wasn't accept anything less than perfection. I had this small 30watt F*nder Squire amplifier which is okay for practice but It just didn't do it for me.

When I finally earned enough money to buy a decent amp I went out to my local guitar shop and the first amp i tried out was Marshall AVT 100. I didn't even bother testing anything else because this amp had it all. I was able to shape my tone instantly. I was really satisfied with the results I got. I love the two Overdrive channels and the clean tone is out of this world! With the built in FX I benefitted from the various reverb settings because I search for hours on most pedals to get my preferred reverb and they just don't quite cut it.. until now!

My Clean Channel Settings: GAIN - 5, BRIGHT - ON, VOLUME - 10, BASS - 4, MIDDLE - 2.5, TREBLE - 2, PRESENCE - 7

This Amp has everything I could ask for. Many thanks.

Marshall Family Tree

Marshall Family Tree

Here's a picture of my ever-growing collection of Marshall amplifiers. I wandered in to my local music shop knowing only one thing ... I wanted a Marshall. I started with the G10 MK.II, progressed to the MG SERIES 30DFX and now finally have my own half stack, AVT 150H and AVT412XA Cab. When it comes to Marshall … nothing else matters.

The Perfect Woman

The Perfect Woman

This is a picture of part of my rig circa 1974. That’s a 100W Super Lead head on top of a F*nder 2x15 cab. Out of the frame is a Marshall 4x12 bottom cab. That’s my Gibson EB3 bass with nylon strings. Days of thunder, baby. My girlfriend surprised me with the amp for my birthday two years earlier. I knew right then and there that she was special, so I married her.
