Jim Marshall is a legend. Especially to the people of Milton Keynes. He not only did a lot for music, he did plenty for the town too, especially charity work.
As a tribute to Jim, a granite pillar has been erected in the MK Rose, a new public place of commemoration and celebration in Campbell Park, Milton Keynes. Former Whitesnake guitarist Bernie Marsden will play during the unveiling of Jim’s pillar.
The opening ceremony for the MK Rose, which features other pillars that mark people, days and events that are significant to the town, will start at 12 noon on Saturday 9 November. The Mayor of Milton Keynes, Councillor Brian White, will launch the event, followed by an exciting programme of activities, music, dance, readings and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.
