Father of Loud

Marshall Amplification is offering five guitarists the opportunity to pay homage to the company's founder, Jim Marshall OBE at the annual 'Father Of Loud' Day.

Saturday 5th April 2014 is the second anniversary of the passing of Jim Marshall, founder of ‘the world’s loudest guitar amplifiers’ Marshall Amplification, based in Bletchley, Milton Keynes. To commemorate this, Marshall is giving their players and fans the chance to quite literally ‘play a part’ in a personal, intimate and commemorative event at the MK Rose pillar dedicated to Jim Marshall that was unveiled in Campbell Park, Milton Keynes last year.

As Jim’s ethic was to always listen to his customers, no matter what their stature, we thought this would be a great opportunity for his loyal fans and customers.

Marshall want you to submit a Youtube video of your best performance, no matter of genre or style. From this, five entrants will be invited to perform individually at the event on 5th April. Marshall Demonstrator Chris George will also perform and compere the event, which will be attended by friends, family and colleagues of Jim Marshall on this day of remembrance, that will surely show what Marshall means to so many.

Entries must be submitted by the 28th March. For full terms and conditions please click here
